It is especially important to have strong credentials and experience when self employed in this field in order to establish a strong reputation within the business community. Employers may also require that the human resources specialist have previous work experience in the field of administration or human resources. It is highly important for the human resources specialist to understand the business thoroughly because they will be developing policies and guidelines for that business.
